TRAINER BIOGRAPHY

Dr Yasmin Ashaari started her career in 1990 as a Lecturer at the University of Wollongong, Australia upon completion of her PhD at the same university. Upon returning to Malaysia in 1994 she worked with ACP Industries Berhad. The booming Construction Industry saw the Company supplying precast concrete box girders for the LRT works, Singapore Second Crossing, concrete bleachers for the Bukit Jalil Stadium among others. Dr Yasmin later joined Terra Geotechnics Sdn Bhd, as Senior Geotechnical Engineer. One of the tasks in 1996 was conducting preliminary Site Investigation and recommendations of soil remedial works for a proposed highway from Jalan Duta to Ampang. The highway is now finally constructed and known as the DUKE Highway. She sees this as a testimonial to the Spirit of ‘Malaysia Boleh’. She then joined Peremba Construction Sdn Bhd in 1997. The 10 years with Peremba gave her opportunity to be involved with big Projects namely development of Putrajaya and Cyberjaya with Kuala Lumpur Flood Mitigation, Package B being her last project. In 2007 her career came full circle when she joined the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA as Associate Professor. She retired in 2019.

• Closing date: one week before the event
• Payment via  CHEQUE / BANK-IN TRANSMISSION 
• FULL PAYMENT must be settled before commencement of the course, otherwise participants will not be allowed to enter the hall. If a place is reserved and the intended participants fail to attend the course, the fee is to be settled in full.
• Fee paid is not refundable. Registration fee includes lecture notes and refreshment.
• IEM Training Academy Sdn Bhd (IEMTA) reserves the right to cancel, alter, or change the program due to unforeseen circumstances. Every effort will be made to inform the registered participants of any changes. In view of the limited places available, intending participants are advised to send their registrations as early as possible so as to avoid disappointment.
• Please be informed that the course will only be carried out if there is sufficient number of participants. The confirmation or cancellation email will be sent to the registered email address one or two weeks before the event dates.

 
Cancellation Policy
 
IEMTA reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, allocate or cancel the course. Full refund less 30% if cancellation is received in writing more than 7 days before the start of the event. No cancellation will be accepted prior to the date of the event. However, replacement or substitute may be made at any time with prior notification and substitute will be charged according to membership status.
