About the course
A conversation on transitioning from a rudimentary traditional safety department approach onto a transformational safety culture in the quest for safety excellence. Statistics will be discussed to attest to successes and more importantly, about the people behind the transformation and what was important to them, the basic building blocks that must be put in place for such a transition, and the upskilling of knowledge, leadership capability, and ability that needs to be driven as you focus and refocused on the people side of safety, rather than relying solely on safety rules, to keep workers safe from harm – eventually driving positive safety actions and leading indicators to sustain and grow the world of safety. The conversation will also touch on safety drifts and weak signals and the impact of underestimating them early on which can eventually evolve into major safety challenges
