SYNOPSIS
In the current digital age where data are abundant, there is a strong need to use the data to provide insights on how our systems/ plants/ industries perform, how we can steer it to maximize our profit and how we can utilize current technologies to achieve such objectives. This very short course aims to introduce the audience on how to use python to do the complete data analytics covering descriptive (getting insights from past performances), predictive (data-driven modelling to predict future performances) and prescriptive (data-driven optimization to steer the future performances) steps. Case study will be a very generic one but the concept and the tool can be applied in all industries and setting.

TRAINER'S PROFILE
Ir Zulfan Adi Puta is a process engineer who’s very passionate in solving chemical engineering problems via process simulation, mathematical modelling and optimization, data statistics. Throughout his career both in industries and academia, he has been involved in various projects from R&D (process synthesis, conceptual process design, feasibility studies, techno-economic analysis), basic engineering, process plant improvement and optimization. As hobbies, he has been volunteering to share various chemical engineering applications to university students, being an industrial advisor and field supervisor and one of the mentors for the robotic program at his kid’s school
