OVERVIEW
|
SYNOPSIS
Process industries such as refineries, petrochemicals, chemicals, and others, consume significant amount of energy. The energy is mostly utilized in energy-intensive process units such as distillation columns, reactors, as well as for heating and cooling purposes. Historically, energy supply system to the plants are designed separately from the main process units. This leads to an inefficient design in terms of energy/heat consumption.
OBJECTIVE
TARGET AUDIENCE Process design engineers, Post-Graduate students, Researchers. KEY FOCUS AREA Energy Minimization |
TRAINER'S PROFILE
IR ZULFAN ADI PUTRA
Zulfan is a process engineer who’s very passionate in solving chemical engineering problems via process simulation, mathematical modeling and optimization, data analysis, and statistics. Throughout his career both in industries and academia, he has been involved in various projects from R&D (process synthesis, conceptual process design, feasibility studies, techno-economic analysis), basic engineering, process plant improvements, and optimization. As hobbies, he has been volunteering to share various chemical engineering applications to university students, being an industrial advisor and field supervisor, and one of the mentors for the robotic program at his kids’ school.
