Course Overview

Process simulation software such as Aspen PLUS becomes one of the important tools for digital transformation in refineries, petrochemicals, and chemical plants. This course aims to provide the participants with the skill on how to apply chemical/process engineering concepts using Aspen PLUS to do process modelling and simulation to solve process engineering problems such as debottlenecking, sensitivity analysis and optimization.

• Case studies, sensitivity analysis and optimization
• Process economic evaluations

• Introduction to Aspen PLUS
• Feed characterization and applied thermodynamics

• Using tools such as design spec, calculator block, concept of recycle
• Case study analysis and optimization

Our Speaker

Ir Zulfan Adi Putra is a process engineer who's very passionate in solving chemical engineering problem via process simulation, mathematical modeling and optimization, data analysis and statistic. Throughout his career both in industries and academia, he has been involved in various projects from R&B (process synthesis), conceptual process design, feasibility studies, techno-economic analysis), basic engineering, process plant improvements and optimization. As hobbies, he has been volunteering to share various chemical engineering applications to university students, being an industrial advisor and field supervisor and one of the mentors for the robotic program at his kids' school.

 Cancellation Policy
IEMTA reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, allocate or cancel the course. Full refund less 30% if cancellation is received in writing more than 7 days before the start of the event. No cancellation will be accepted prior to the date of the event. However, replacement or substitute may be made at any time with prior notification and substitute will be charged according to membership status.
